I’m a productivity junkie and rely heavily on my apps to accomplish my tasks.
Notable on the list of MacStories are Fantastical, Duet Display, iA Writer Pro, and Clear.
Fantastical by Flexibits
Fantastical will definitely replace your default calendar app. I use Fantastical on my computer and phone without fail. It has a natural language engine so you can just type, “Lunch tomorrow with John” and it will automatically parse the text and set you an appointment. Works like magic.
Duet Display by Kairos
I haven’t tried Duet Display since I don’t have an iPad but I read some good reviews about it. Developed by ex-Apple engineers, Duet Display lets you extend your iPad (or iPhone) as a secondary screen to increase productivity.
iA Writer Pro by iA
Following the success of iA Writer, the Pro version offers a simple workflow on how you can better write. Start with your ideas in Note, flesh them out in Write, progress to Edit for refining, then move to Read when you’re done.
Clear by Realmac Software
The very first todo app that I actually enjoyed using because of its gorgeous UI. The gesture-based design allows you to focus on accomplishing your tasks. My favorite part of the app are the themes. Bonus: You can unlock secret themes by downloading other apps like Tweetbot and Path.
